The Democratic Republic of Congo is the biggest country in Africa, situated along the Equator and having much of the territory covered by the original rain tropical forests of central Africa.

Due to many years of political instability, tourism hsa been slow however tourism in Congo is now increasing, especially in the Eastern regions bordering Rwanda and Uganda, where are located the immense forests of Virunga National Park and Kahuzi Biega National Park.

The main interest of visitors are the mountains gorilla tracking and the Lowland gorilla tracking which is unique for Congo.
